Paintshop Pro X6 has me pulling my hair out, literally. There are so many features that I love about it, and so many I truly hate. I love that we can now use Photoshop abr brushes in the PSP X6 and the enhanced raw support features. Still not to sure about the selection brushes as I cannot seem to make them work as easily as their video does.
But (and there’s always a but), I hate that I have to recreate my workspace with each upgrade. What a pain. And I hate that the image window no longer sizes with the image. Oh I know you can do it manually just using Cntrl+W; but who wants to do that each time you put an image in the PSP workspace. Arggggg…. I find that I tend to go back to PSP X5 just because I don’t want the hassle of using a keyboard command when I have multiple images on the workspace. Oh, (and I think this happens in X5 too); the pick tool. It always defaults to one of the selections which has a keyboard command, not the scale (which does not). Talk about infuriating.
Okay, now I’ll get off my soapbox; but before I do, I must say that Paintshop Pro is still a great product for a very reasonable price. With each upgrade they bring it closer to what you can do with Photoshop and is at least comparable, if not just a little better than, Elements (though I guess I should get a more current copy of Elements to verify).>
If anyone has figured out how to make the image windows size with the image by default, I would greatly appreciate the information, as that is my biggest peeve with the new version.
